MacMillan Associates, Inc. is currently accepting resumes for all experience levels for a Structural Engineer. In this position you will be involved in the design of steel, concrete, masonry and timber building structures and foundation systems. Project types include commercial, industrial, educational, governmental, healthcare and religious facilities.
Requirements
B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited University
Successful completion of the FE/EIT exam a plus
Working towards becoming a licensed engineer is expected
RISA Finite Element Analysis software
Familiarity with AutoCAD/Revit and BIM related software
Cost Estimating, Conceptual and Analytical Skills, Problem Solving
Verbal and Written Communication, Presentation Skills
Microsoft Office
Job Duties
Produce structural engineering designs by identifying project objectives; researching and developing structural engineering techniques and approaches; verifying and validating designs
Work closely with other engineering staff while performing routine engineering tasks including 3D modeling, calculations, field work, cost estimating, specification writing, construction document generation and shop drawing review while working for a wide variety of clients and projects
Work as part of a project team with other in-house disciplines including mechanical and electrical
Meet with clients and architects for coordination, design reviews, etc.
Working with and providing direction to drafting staff to produce construction documents and drawings including review and mark-up of drawings to reflect finalized design
Assist clients with construction administration by coordinating pre-bid meetings, pre-construction meetings, responding to requests for information, change orders, etc.
