MACMILLAN ASSOCIATES, INC. is a multi-disciplined
engineering firm established in 1963 and is oriented toward providing personal
attention to the needs of clients. Our services include planning and design for
new buildings, renovating or remodeling of existing facilities, including
structural, mechanical, electrical, product handling systems and LEED
sustainable design services.
Our experienced staff works closely with our clients, beginning with
discussions on the scope of work and development of the schematic and
preliminary sketches including cost estimates. Following approval of
preliminary work, we prepare bidding and construction documents including
drawings and specifications. We provide observation through the construction
phase including review of shop drawings to insure that constructed work
conforms to the intent of the contract documents.
* A Principal or an Associate will have personal and direct knowledge of all
phases of the project, will handle all communications and will maintain close
contact with the client during all phases of the work.
* Our staff is trained to provide prompt professional consulting and
engineering design services on projects of all types and sizes.
* We continue to demonstrate that our approach provides clients with reliable timely engineering services for reasonable fees.
The firm was established in 1963 as McClurg and MacMillan, Inc. The primary business of McClurg and MacMillan was structural engineering for architectural clients in the Saginaw Valley. Demand necessitated the addition of industrial, mechanical and electrical engineering capabilities. The firm name was later changed to MacMillan Associates, Inc. The size of the firm has doubled in the last ten years and work is performed nationally.
MacMillan Associates employs 32 full time employees in the Bay City office. Of those, 17 are engineers (10 of which are licensed Professional Engineers); 2 designers; 9 drafters; and 4 clerical and administrative staff members. Experience levels of our staff members range from entry level to over 30 years of experience.
